Qualifications: BA. Sociology and Social Work and Advanced Diploma in Business Studies
Michael Kumah is a Program Assistant whose role is to assist the Program Officer in charge of the Scholars Support Services Unit at the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program (MCFSP) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Social work from the Kwame Nkrumah university of science and technology, Kumasi with specializations in; Organizational Behavior, Industrial Sociology, Human Resource management and Criminology. He also holds an Advance Diploma in Business Studies from the Institute of Commercial Management, United Kingdom (ICM, UK) with specializations in; Customer Service New, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management and Marketing Management.
Mr. Kumah started his career at KNUST in the year 2016 as a National Service and Post National Service person all in the Office of the Dean of Students, KNUST.
Michael has interest in promoting the welfare of students with disabilities and in view of that he has served in various capacities that has helped to improve the lives of students with disability in KNUST.
For his commitment to improving the lives of persons with disabilities, Mr. Kumah was appointed in the year 2018 as a member of the KNUST Disability Advisory Team constituted by the then Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Kwasi Obiri-Danso to enact a comprehensive policy on disability for the University. He has since being a member of the advisory team.
