Elizabeth is currently a Doctoral Researcher on a PhD Studentship Award at the Loughborough University, United Kingdom. She was awarded the John Pickford Scholarship and GNPC Foundation scholarship for her Masters degree in the UK. She was the Course Representative for MSc. Water and Sanitation Engineering at the Loughborough University for the 2018/2019 academic year. She is currently a Member of the Hub Committee in the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering at Loughborough University. Prior to leaving Ghana for further studies in the UK, Elizabeth served as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Office of the Provost of College of Engineering, KNUST during her National Service, in the 2017/2018 academic year. During her undergraduate study in KNUST, Elizabeth served as the General Secretary for the Civil Engineering Students Association-KNUST, for the 2015/2016 academic year. That same year, she received the 2016 Roger Spanswick Excellence in Leadership award from the African Research Academy for Women-Ghana after completing a summer undergraduate research programme at the academy.
Elizabeth is interested in Research and Education in Public Health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Environmental Health and Safety Engineering.
Motivational Message: You do not need to be featured in the news or honoured with awards before you feel that the good work you do matters. “You cannot do all the good that the world needs but the world needs all the good that you can do”. So yes, don’t stop saying the kind words, contributing a cedi towards fundraisers, being there for people facing hard times and doing every other ‘little thing’ that puts smiles on people’s faces because in the end, these are “the little things that make the big days.”
